The Marketing Forum at Chetana’s R. K. Institute of Management and Research aims to provide a holistic perspective on marketing discipline. It facilitates interaction with the industry Gurus on the challenges, processes and latest trends in the market place, thus providing an excellent platform to the young and vibrant marketing aspirants of the Institute.
In the Marketing Forum, we believe that all our students, Chetanaites, should not only excel in academics, but also enthusiastically participate in extracurricular activites to expose themselves to critical management concepts of team work, collaboration, openness and mutual trust. We want them not only to learn the black and white in theories, frameworks, templates etc., but also to realize the shades of grey. A lot that they will soon be facing in corporate life will be all about deciding in real time with imperfect data.
The Forum initiated its activities for the academic year 2008-2009 with the senior students specializing in the field of Marketing through a week-long transition programme in the month of July. In this programme the in-house core Faculty strenghthened the core concepts for the students and the validation came from the industry speakers including organizations like Coca-Cola, DHL, Heinz India, Oracle, HUL and Synovate.
The Forum has been constantly involved in undertaking value additions for the students by giving them workshops, mock selling sessions for various products and tips for personality grooming. Each Saturday sees the students participate in various types of contests. The themes for these include a summer internship learnings contest, a college contest to depict the use of digital platforms adopted by marketing companies, a quiz contest, presentations for retail projects, a create your NGO contests, etc..............
