HR Conclave 2015

The Chinese philosopher Confucius once famously remarked,
‘Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life’
The question is, how do you actually find out what you would love to do? Not even a career coach can tell you exactly what you should do; it has to come from you. ‘Gen Y’ is on a constant quest of addressing this thought-provoking question in a world where money is no longer the only motivating factor for employees. Organisations with the help of HR are now exploring the depths of employee psyche and trying to unravel the mystery behind employee loyalty and expectations.
With an aim to address this very issue, Chetana’s Institutes of Management and Research organised a HR Conclave on Saturday, 7th February 2015 with a dynamic theme of ‘Changing trends at the workplace- Challenges for HR’.

The Conclave was attended by an august audience of eminent HR professionals and business leaders from the industry who shared their views and perspectives on the trends and challenges facing HR from a strategic perspective.
The event begun with the sharing of views on the trends and challenges by the key note speaker, Mr. Sanjay Ghanghaw, DGM-HR at Actavis Pharma(formerly known as Watson Pharmaceuticals). He focused on the evolution of HR as a strategic business partner and how HR needs to change with respect to the changes in the environment. He ended on a positive note and urged students to “be the change they wish to see in the world”.
This was followed by a panel discussion which covered the various challenges facing HR today at the work place such as multi-generational diversity, cultural diversity, work-life balance, role of technology, changing expectations, etc.
