Students from Chetana’s R. K. Institute of Management and Research and Chetana’s Institute of Management and Research participated in the “We Walk for Addiction” rally on September 30. It was organized by the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan Department of Social Justice, Mumbai Port Trust, the Collector of Mumbai City, the Assistant Commissioner of the Social Welfare Department of Mumbai City, the Mumbai Vidyapit, S.M.D.T., and jointly by the Mahila Vidyapith.
The rally’s main goal was to combat addiction. Say No to Drugs and Nasha Band Karo were the slogans chanted as all the students made their way together from Azad Maidan to the Gateway of India.
All in all, it was a fantastic experience, and the students were thrilled to be a part of such an initiative. Along with our institute several other colleges and educational institutes participated with fervour. In total, there were about *2000 students* , all standing up together to say that drugs are not a good choice. The students chanted slogans such as:
- Nasha chodo Jeevan Badlo
- 1234 nasha mukti bekarar
- Mat bano maut ke grahak cigarette bidi hanikarak
- Mana karo nashe se, Prem karo parivar se
