The programme is the Master’s Degree in management affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The two-year full-time programme is an eclectic mix of theory and application aimed at creating business-ready professionals. The programme helps the participants to understand and appreciate the finer nuances of business and prepares them for real-time challenges. The programme through its diverse pedagogy and contemporary content equips the participants with the right skills and tools to take the mantle of business leadership.

The programme spans four semesters in two years. The first year comprising two semesters covers various courses on General Management and introduces the specialization courses that follow in the second year. The students undertake a summer internship immediately after their first year so has to apply the learnings with the help of a real-time project in a company of their choice. The second-year aims at developing professionals ie n specific specializations with the help of courses that are designed to build subject matter expertise among the participants. The students in the second year select to specialize in Marketing, Finance,Operations, IT/Systems, and HR.

The course is driven by academic rigour encompassing subjects as mandated by the university along with contemporary value add courses keeping in mind the changing business environment. The course also encourages the students to undertake capstone projects in the fourth semester to integrate all their learning into a real-time project.

The admission to the institute is governed by the Admission Regulating Authority (ARA), Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), State Govt. of Maharashtra, and the Institute prescribes to all the norms as mandated by the Govt. from time to time.

Eligibility
  1. Graduated with minimum 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of backward class candidates from Maharashtra state only) in any Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline OR appeared for the final year examination of any Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities.
  2. Appeared for the Common Entrance Test (MAH-MBA/MMS-CET), conducted by competent authority OR appeared for any other examination like CAT, MAT, CMAT as mandated by the competent authority.

Specializations Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology/ Systems and Operations.
Admission Procedure The total intake for the course is divided in the following categories:
  1. Seats admitted through Common Admission Process (CAP) conducted by DTE – 96
  2. Seats admitted through Institute Level basis the inter-se merit list of the CET scores and the norms prescribed by DTE - 24
  3. Seats allocated over and above the intake by DTE through the CAP round
    1. J&K Quota – 1
    2. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) – 12
    3. Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS) - 6
  4. Seats left vacant after the CAP rounds or due to cancellations shall be filled by the institute basis the inter-se merit list of the CET scores and the norms prescribed by DTE. The institute does not fill any seat left vacant in TFWS, EWS and J&K Quota.

Master of Management Studies is a Two Year Full Time Post Graduate Course. The two years comprise four semesters. The Institute besides adhering to the University norms of the prescribed curriculum also offers a plethora of additional papers and certificate courses. These additional subjects are contemporary and designed keeping in mind the industry requirements.

General Rules & Guidelines

  • Formal dress code is mandatory and the students must sport the I-card on campus at all times.
  • Every student needs to adhere to a minimum of 80% attendance in every subject.
  • The examination rules are as governed by the University of Mumbai.
  • The Institute does not tolerate any unruly behaviour, consumption of tobacco and/or alcohol, non academic interventions and any form of indiscipline on campus.
  • The institute follows a strict anti-ragging norm and any student found violating the same shall be expelled from the course.
  • The institute has a Women Grievance Cell and Anti Ragging Cell so as to take care of student interests.
