Report on Convocation Ceremony of MMS batch (2023–25)

Introduction
The Convocation Ceremony for the MMS Batch (2023–2025) was held on 7th March 2026 with great enthusiasm. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of the students while reinforcing the institute’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic development.
Commencement of the Ceremony
The ceremony commenced with the Academic Procession, followed by the digital lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance through knowledge. Dr. Madhumita Patil, CEO of CRKIMR & CIMR, formally declared the convocation ceremony open.
Welcome Address and Dignitary Introduction
The President, Shri Shridatta Haldankar, extended a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, who were alumni from a batch celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year:
- Anshul Gupta, Head – IT Transformation Office & Finance, IndusInd Bank
- Yugesh Deshpande, VP & Head of Professional Services, USEReady
- Vishal Bhavasar, CEO & Managing Partner, Icon Engineering
Their presence added prestige and inspiration to the ceremony.
Address by Institutional Leadership
Dr. Madhumita Patil addressed the gathering, congratulating the graduating students and expressing gratitude to parents for placing their trust in the institution.
The message of the Secretary, Shri Shirish Dada Chaudhari, was read by Dr. Shivprasad M., conveying his best wishes to the graduating batch.
In his address, President Shri Shridatta Haldankar congratulated the students and encouraged them to look beyond mere livelihood, urging them to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation. He emphasized the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Presentation of Annual Reports
I/c Director, CA Suhas Gharat presented the annual report of CRKIMR, highlighting key achievements such as:
- 33% admissions
- Student participation and success in events such as Elixir, Challenger, International Conference, and Arthanaad
He motivated students to maintain a hunger for knowledge and to aspire for excellence.
Guest Addresses
Mr. Anshul Gupta addressed the students, emphasizing that real management extends beyond case studies to managing real-world challenges such as expectations, deadlines, and professional relationships. He reminded students that convocation is a milestone, not the final destination.
Mr. Yugesh Deshpande shared valuable insights, highlighting that careers often do not follow a predetermined path. He encouraged students to remain lifelong learners, embrace failure, stay curious, and take risks.
Mr. Vishal Bhavasar advised students to avoid complacency and emphasized the importance of hard work, especially in the initial years of their careers.
Awarding of Degrees
Dr. Balaji Sadavarte formally presented the graduating class of 2023–2025. CA Suhas Gharat conferred the MMS degrees upon the students. The graduates marked the occasion by turning their tassels and taking a bow, followed by the distribution of degrees to all MMS students.
Oath and Celebration
Dr. Madhumita Patil administered the oath to the graduates, after which the students celebrated by the traditional cap toss.
Awards and Recognitions
Academic toppers for each specialization were announced:
- Marketing: Poojadevi Vaishya
- Finance: Siddhant Kahate
- HR: Yutika Mhatre
- Operations: Aakash Vishwakarma
The Presidential Award for Academic Excellence (MMS) was awarded to Yutika Mhatre.
The Presidential Award for Outstanding Overall Achievement was conferred upon Santosh Gupta, and both the winner and nominees were felicitated.
Conclusion of the Ceremony
Dr. Kavita Khadse delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, management, faculty, and the students.
A video showcasing the journey of the batch (2023–2025) was presented, evoking a sense of nostalgia and pride.
Dr. Madhumita Patil formally declared the convocation ceremony closed. The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking the end of a memorable and significant occasion.
