Induction ceremony for the MMS Batch of 2024-2026

The induction ceremony for the 2024-2026 batch at Chetana’s R.K. Institute of Management and Research commenced with the dignitaries participating in the auspicious lighting of the lamp, followed by the university anthem. The ceremony was formally inaugurated by the esteemed CEO, Dr. Madhumita Patil. Guest of honor, Mr. Prasad Pimple, Vice President at Kotak Life, was warmly welcomed with a bouquet by the President of Chetana Trust, Pandit Shri Datta Haldankar. Additionally, Dr. Madhumita ma’am was greeted by the in-charge Director of CRKIMR, CA Suhas Gharat, who also extended a warm welcome to CIMR Director, Dr. Nandita Mishra.
The program was anchored by Dr. Shivaprasad Murugan, who introduced CA Suhas Gharat. In his address, sir welcomed the new students to the “Chetana Parivaar” and inspired them with his favorite Marathi phrase, “वाचाल तर वाचाल” (If you read, you will survive). His words set a thoughtful tone for the event, encouraging students to embrace knowledge and growth.
Mr. Prasad Pimple, an award-winning professional with over 70 accolades in digital marketing, followed with a motivational speech. He urged students to maintain an open mind, continuously seek new learning experiences, and develop their unique perspectives. Highlighting the importance of networking and experimentation, he quoted Steve Jobs’ famous line, “Stay hungry, stay foolish,” emphasizing the value of curiosity and resilience.
The event also featured a video presentation on the life and achievements of Shri Madhukar Rao Chaudhari, whose contributions to society were a source of inspiration for the attending students. Dr. Balaji Sadavarte then read a letter from Shri Shirish Dada Chaudhari, who, though unable to attend, sent his heartfelt message to the new batch.
Dr. Nandita Mishra, Director of CIMR and recognized among the top 20 Pragmatic Women Leaders of 2024, was introduced to the audience. In her address, she spoke passionately about the importance of governance, ethics, and the role of managers in today’s dynamic and digitized world. Encouraging students to push their limits, she urged them to explore, take risks, and be courageous in their decisions, while also reminding them to find joy in the journey. She concluded with a powerful message: “Life is not about probability, but limitless possibility.”
The principal of Chetana’s Hazarimal College, Mr. Sanjay Jagtap, was also introduced, followed by a video presentation featuring Mr. Vikas Sachdeva, MD Sundaram Alternate Assets Ltd, VP, Alumni Association CRKIMR . His address highlighted the irreplaceable value of Natural Intelligence (NI) over Artificial Intelligence (AI), reinforcing the enduring importance of human intellect.
Pandit Shri Datta Haldankar addressed the batch, marking this moment as the beginning of an exciting journey. He emphasized the importance of knowledge-sharing and highlighted that anticipation and keen observation are crucial traits in becoming corporate-ready. He also cautioned students that challenges will arise, often requiring critical decisions. He left them with the reminder that collaboration is key to overcoming these obstacles.
Dr. Madhumita Patil, CEO of CRKIMR and CIMR, delivered a keynote address, during which she credited her efforts in establishing international collaborations, including partnerships with institutes in Canada. She emphasized that while knowledge acquisition is important, its application is crucial. Dr. Patil also encouraged students to actively engage with industry experts through guest lectures, further advising them to complement their theoretical learning with practical insights. In a light-hearted moment, she recommended the film Ordinary Angels and shared an anecdote from Akbar and Birbal, leaving students with a thoughtful moral lesson.
The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Meghana Patil, who expressed her gratitude to the dignitaries and acknowledged the support of Chetana’s management. In closing, Dr. Kavita reminded the students that the institute’s strength lies in its experienced faculty, who were then introduced to the new batch, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for the incoming students.
The induction ceremony reflected the institute’s commitment to nurturing future leaders through guidance, inspiration, and a solid foundation of values and ethics.
