GLIMPSES-A DAY AT A BUSINESS SCHOOL

GLIMPSES, a unique event, marked its debut in the history of Chetana’s Institutes on April 2nd, 2024. The event aimed to offer undergraduate students a preview of what awaits them in postgraduate management education. Invitations were extended to nearly 100 undergraduate institutes in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, inviting their final year students to explore the world of Management Education.

The response to the event was overwhelming, with numerous enthusiastic students attending to get a glimpse of B School life at Chetana’s, despite the ongoing examination season.

Following a brief introduction, student invitees were ushered into the Finance specialization event, THE SENSEX HUB. Here, our first-year management students provided insights into the stock market, covering topics such as fundamental and technical analysis, as well as companies listed in the Sensex index. Participants were then introduced to FrontPage, a paper trading app, offering them a real-time trading experience. This initial exposure left them intrigued about what more the event had in store for them.

The Marketing specialization presented MCAIRDEAS, featuring various sub-games like Logo Mania, Unmask the Brand, and Revamp, aimed at enhancing participants’ creativity and understanding of brands.

Subsequently, the Systems and Operations specialization had their Event MANOEUVRE, offering activities such as logo recognition, Jenga, and Bodhi Tree. At the Bodhi Tree desk, participants received counselling on management education and operations & systems specializations, while also providing feedback.

The HR specialization, through their BrainBox event, engaged participants with memory and fun games like crossword, Hropoly, and darts.

In the culmination, certificates of participation were distributed to all students by our esteemed CEO, Madhumita Patil, and I/C Director CA Suhas Gharat. The Sensex Hub awarded winning certificates and cash prizes to the top three traders based on their profits made during live trading.
